Add your home size
Roof size is your living area divided by stories, times 1.25 for a medium pitch and overhangs. The range leans high because real quotes often come in above published averages. Only a roofer's written quote is a real number.

Do you actually need a new roof?
Ask before you pay. From January 1, 2027, Georgia's House Bill 1344 says a non-renewal based on aerial images must come with the dated images, the steps and repair standards to reverse the decision, and at least 60 days for current policyholders to fix the condition. If you prove it's fixed, the insurer must offer renewal.
That means the insurer has to tell you what "fixed" looks like. Often it's a repair, not a new roof. If your letter arrives before January 1, ask in writing which condition must be fixed and whether a repair will satisfy them. See our Georgia guide for the details.
